Kulwant Singh Virk wrote in Punjabi and English. His short stories are translated into several other languages, including Russian and Japanese. After his M.A. degree, he graduated from law school, but chose not to practice. His writings bagged many awards. His short story compilation titled Dudh Da Chappar (A Pond of Milk) Nave Lok (New folks) won awards. He passed away in 1987 in Canada. Virk will always remain a legend for writing short stories innovatively.




 Kulwant Singh Virk Mr. Kulwant Singh Virk is a pioneer of contemporary literature. He wrote mostly in Punjabi but extensively in English as well.
