Poetic Obituaries: Dr. Jagtar was widely credited for

being a stickler for meter and rhyme in his compositions, thereby imparting an old-word charm to them. He was conferred the Sahit Akademi Award in 1995 for his book "Jugnu Diva te Dariya”.
